This question gives you insight into both the company’s core values and core mission and will also give you a better idea of how you would fit into the company hierarchy. You want your job to have meaning, which usually means that it is part of a broader effort to accomplish something positive for the organization.

  1. What are the people at the company like?

This question will give you a lot of insight into the company culture and into whether the work environment is a good fit for you. Ideally, the hiring manager interviewing you will seem to know his or her coworkers well and will have a generally positive view about them. If the hiring manager can recognize strengths of staff members and talks about doing collaborative work, the company may be a good place for you if you enjoy working with others and forming workplace friendships with your peers.
